Early Care and Education
Welcome!
My name is Stephanie Nutter, also known as "Ms. Steph." I am a mother of three children; two are in high school and college, and one is in elementary school.
When my husband and I started our family, we began to understand the challenge that a working parent faces with leaving their child in the care of someone else. It became an important goal to provide safe, loving and trustworthy care as a service to local families like ours. Kinder Beginnings has been serving the Hocking Hills area since 2007.
These are some of my qualifications:
-
Member of the National Association for the Education of Young Children
-
BCII's (background checks) performed both on my husband and myself
-
Infant/Child CPR and First Aid Certified
-
Ongoing education to keep up to date

Kinder Beginnings remains in compliance with all regulations and inspections required as a provider for the state of Ohio
Let me introduce you to our program here at Kinder Beginnings:
Our "blended household" setting offers a comfortable, family-like atmosphere. The children gain social skills not only with their peers, but with friends of different ages and developmental levels. By watching older children, the younger ones often become eager to learn and be involved in more advanced experiences. In turn, the older children become more responsible and independent. All children in this mixed-age grouping benefit from the development of respect, empathy, patience, and an understanding of diversity.
As a Type B Home Provider, the State of Ohio permits a total of 6 children (which includes my own under the age of six) to be present. A low provider-to-child ratio is an integral part of the foundation for high quality care. Each child receives the personal attention that they deserve, and the group quickly becomes a familiar and supportive place. Children in my care are given the opportunity to learn and grow in a setting where they feel safe, valued, and understood. I strive to nurture each child as an individual, assisting them in developing confidence and building a positive self-image. Growth in all developmental domains is attained through a variety of experiences and playful learning.
Our predictable routine, weekly themes, planned activities and scheduled outings help to prepare the children for transition into elementary school when that time comes. Each day consists of circle time (with stories, songs and group activities), free play, active play, educational activities, art, science, and other experiences. The goal is to make learning fun... after all, experts agree that children learn best through play!
